Printmaking Studio
Saltgrass Printmakers provides artists with a well-equipped studio with production facilities and equipment for relief, intaglio, and screen printing (including photo-based processes).
There are two options available for artists: Key Holders and Limited Access Renters
Key Holders:
These printmakers work independently and have their own key giving them 24/7 access to the studio. In order to qualify as a Key Holder, you must have sufficient experience with equipment and processes in the studio. Eligibility is determined based on technical abilities during the interview. Monthly membership rate is $200.00.
Working Key Holders receive a discount for serving as studio monitors and regularly maintaining the studio. They must exhibit a well-rounded knowledge of printmaking. Monthly membership rate for monitors is $150.00.
Rent is due on the 1st of each month.
Each Key Holder member will be given a locker and a flat file drawer for personal paper, inks and tools.

Any artists who has experience as a printmaker has the opportunity to rent time at the press.
- To access Saltgrass Printmakers’ facilities, an artist must have sufficient technical knowledge to work in the studio independently and safely.

Can I stop by to talk to someone about purchasing time on a press for a day? I used to own my own printing press, but sold it during a move a few years back, so I have experience working with printing equipment. I really just did monotypes, but I know which end of the press to stick the plate, felts and paper in. Let me know when I might be able to stop by to talk to someone about using your equipment.
Thanks

I’ve been busy these days. Have you been able to drop by the printshop?
I’m at the press TH/F/Sat 11 to 4pm. You can email me at stefanie.dykes822@gmail.com
We can set up a time to talk.
I would like to become a limited access renter, or perhaps become a key holder if there is a month-to-month option. I have a couple projects I would like to work on and I am in need of an exposure unit, press, and squeegee. I have my own inks, screens, paper, etc. I took 3 semesters of printmaking from 2020-2023 at the University of Idaho, and I am a member of Seattle Print Arts and the Rocky Mountain Printmaking Alliance. I recently moved to Salt Lake City and I look forward to meeting some of the print community here!
Kindly,
Sterling Jones
