This is a last minute special topics mini workshop!
We will cover the basics of building a collagraph matrix. During this session, participants will have the chance to start constructing, gluing, mudding, taping, etc their collagraphs. Matrices will be taken home to be completed.
Print sessions will be scheduled during any Saltgrass Printmakers Open Press times at the student’s convenience. Open Press sessions are available Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays 11:00 am to 4:00 pm and cost $35.00 plus any purchased paper.
Collagraph description: A collagraph print is built up from anything you can stick down onto a rigid support panel. We will use techniques that include relief, screen and intaglio to build up and tear down the surfaces until we have achieved our desired result. The materials used are so inexpensive that it opens up an amazing versatile print experience and offers so much space for exploration of form, texture and composition.
